Winter Relaxation & Fun

Mark your calendars for the Fire and Ice Festival on February 14 & 15, 2025, during Valentine’s Day - and - President’s Day Weekend! We’re staying open late on Friday to enjoy a winter’s night out on the town.

For Easton residents, the Fire & Ice Festival is a dazzling winter celebration that brings the community together for a fun-filled weekend of ice sculptures, fire dancers, and family-friendly activities. Held in February, we’re looking forward to participating for the first time.

Chesapeake Fire & Ice will again feature dozens of ice sculptures spread throughout Easton’s historic district. The event will kick off Friday night with live music and ice carvings. Outdoor ice skating will be open by nightfall and the streets will be alive with fun! Live carvings will be all over town, including one sponsored by presenting sponsors Preston Automotive Group and Bay Security/Safehouse, LLC – all outside and easy to view with a stroll through town!

The festivities continue all weekend with opportunities to tour the ice sculptures. Events will include an activity filled Fire Trail, family fun events, outdoor ice skating, children’s icehouse at the Talbot County Free Library, entertainment, seasonal sales and shopping, restaurant specials, lodging specials, and more!

Enjoy the Quiet Winter in Chestertown & Annapolis

In contrast to the lively festivities of Easton, the peaceful winter charm of Chestertown and Annapolis invites moments of quiet reflection. With their serene, historical streets and cozy atmosphere, these towns are perfect for slowing down and embracing the quiet beauty of winter. It’s the perfect time to enjoy our towns with an overnight at one of our many fabulous Bed & Breakfasts.

Warm up with a cozy cup of hot chocolate and take a stroll through Chestertown’s charming streets. Admire the stunning collection of historic homes, each with its own story, and discover the vibrant Woicke outdoor art sculpture collection that add a creative touch to this picturesque town’s rich heritage and inviting atmosphere.

Annapolis, Maryland, is a treasure trove of historic landmarks that bring the city’s rich heritage to life. The U.S. Naval Academy offers a fascinating glimpse into the nation’s maritime legacy with guided tours and awe-inspiring architecture. The Maryland Statehouse, the oldest state capitol still in continuous legislative use, boasts stunning colonial design and pivotal history, including George Washington’s resignation as Commander-in-Chief. These iconic sites make Annapolis a must-visit for history enthusiasts, and are located right around the corner from our State Circle location.

Pro tip - The towns of Annapolis & Chestertown are quiet on a Monday. If you’re looking for a quiet day in, this is perfect! Want a little more action? We always recommend mid-week stays on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The weekend are busy year-round, Fridays & Saturdays are the most fun.

Shop Local & Stay Local!

We love the Historic Inns of Annapolis for their proximity to everything. In Easton, you can never go wrong with the hospitality of the Hummingbird Inn (they’re pet friendly!). In Chestertown, check out the White Swan Tavern or Brampton Inn Bed & Breakfast in Chestertown.

No matter where you stay, consider our stores in Annapolis, Chestertown, and Easton a home away from home.
